PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING FOR DNB

Diploma in National Board candidates will be admitted during the months of June and December as follows:

1. Registration in the form of an application addressed to the Director and Superintendent, Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children with requisite certificates shall be made before 7th May and 7th November, every year.

2. After scrutinising the application and certificates, an entrance test for the candidates will be conducted on the 14th of May/November and the list of eligible candidates will be published and displayed on the Notice Board of this Institute, within a week of the date of Examination.

3. The number of candidates permitted to undergo Diplomate in National Board Training is purely under the discretion of the Director and Superintendent, Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children, based on the availability of seats and their performance in the entrance examination.

4. The candidates will then apply to Director of Medical Education with the requisite certificates through the Director and Superintendent on receipt of orders from the Director and Medical Education, the Diplomate in National Board Candidates will be admitted to undergo the course for a period of 3 years after successful completion of primary in case of direct Dip. N.B. candidates. Candidates or 2 years in respect of candidates who have completed DCH.
